Awards season continues with the SAG Awards on Sunday night! Out of all the images I saw, only one dress I can actually say was incredible. And that was January Jones in Carolina Herrera. A few others...Lea Michele and Natalie Portman...get a thumbs up, but really, nothing that special! But that's okay, the worse they dress, the better I can comment.
Here are a bunch of highlights:
Clair Danes in Louis Vitton. Is that a belt? With a buckle? Okay, Hocus Pocus. Pretty sure I thought the heavy-dudy belt worn on the outside of an outfit was stylish in the 90s--keyword thought. It wasn't.
Diana Argon in Chanel Haute Couture. This "Glee"star needs a new stylist. The only thing cute about this dress is the bow. The bottom hem? Need to take a lawnmower to it.
Eva Longoria in Georges Hobeika. Okay, we'll give her a break here. She's going through a divorce, so her mind (and dress) may be a bit scatter-brained. I have to give it to her, though. She does look good (as usual).
January Jones in Carolina Herrara. I like it. I love it. I want some more of it.
Jennifer Lawrence in Oscar de la Renta. Is that Stephanie Prat? What did Spencer do to you?
Kim Kardashian in Marchesa. Yikes, she really missed the boat on this one. She usually look so good, but hey, I'm not complaining. Makes you feel better when the best looking fake celebs have their bad days.
Kyra Sedgewick in Thierry Mugler. It would be a pretty dress if it weren't for those devil's horns peeking out of her armpits. Ouch.
Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta. Yay! She finally wore something new and different. She strayed away from the navy blue dress with a huge, billowing skirt. Bout time, Lea.
Mariska Hargitay in...?. No designer mentioned--probably because it looks like a plastic table cloth from Party City. It's artsy, I guess.
Mila Kunis in alexander McQueen. I actually think this is kind of pretty. But it reminds me a little of her role in The Black Swan--a bloody mess.
Natalie Portman in Azzaro. Baby bump and all, she's still looking good. A bit of a Princes Leia throwback actually.
Nicole Kidman in Nina Ricci. Again, Nicole? Throw us a bone here. WIth the Oscars coming up, hopefully third times the charm.
Sofia Vergara in Roberto Cavali. Again, with the top half thing.
Winona Ryder in Alberta Ferretti. Let's get things straight here. Several years ago she was accused of shoplifting. Clepto. I think her bad habit is coming back (along with her career). Not sure who she stole this look from but she needs to give it back.
See? Not much this awards show. Until next time.
Love,
Hannah
