Question: What do milk and cookies, brownies and heath toffee have in common?

Answer: They fit in my bowl :).

Almost every day, we have ice cream or froyo after dinner.  And every day we wish we had brownies to go in our ice cream.  So, we decided to take action and make brownies.  Not your typical fudgy brownies...heath toffee chunk covered fudgy brownies!  Nom nom nom...delish.

Here was the situation (without the abs...funny how the term "situation" now puts an image of a jersey shore character in your head--at least mine):

We bought boxed brownie mix and followed the directions.  Since we were using a nonstick pan, we set the timer to just 20 minutes (it says 3 minutes less for nonstick pans, which is clutch because they come out nice and gooey).

5 minutes before the timer went off (15 minutes in the oven), we took out our brownies and showered them with heath toffee chunks.

Then we popped our brownies back into the oven for the remainding 5 minutes.  What came next was a work of tastebud art...

But what are heath toffee chunk covered brownies without a little ice cream?  We warmed up a heath toffee brownie and put it on a few nice scoops of Ben and Jerry's Milk and Cookies Ice Cream.

Now that's what I call a satisfying dessert.  Next time your in a dessert rut, bake up this little gem and you'll have a great recipe for the books!

Sweet, sweet lovin,
Hannah
