The Hot Seat. No, not the Who Wants to be a Millionaire hot seat (although that would be nice...TIM). It's a type of wine! Get it, for reals.
You can buy it here.
That's my final answer.
Cheers!

ESP...new site name
Essential Safe Products. Try saying that ten times fast and typing it into the web browser without thinking "now how do I spell essential again?" Not the best combination of words for a site....but for a company name, it works! That's why I had the name changed for the main domain of our site.
See ya http://www.essentialsafeproduct.com/ (although it still works)
and HELLOOOOOOOOOOO http://www.liveesp.com/!

Fiesta Friday ~ Big Gulp + Anything
When I think Big Gulps, I think super big cups filled with secret drinks held by sneaky people down the street who (not to be mean) often also live on the streets. But how bad have you wanted to indulge in a Big Gulp sans the street living part!?!
If not before, now you'll want to try it because honestly, the 7-eleven slushees in a Big Gulp cup mix well with anything! I suggest getting a more "sour"-tasting slushee (like the Crystal Lights), but that's me. It hides tastes well.
Leme know what you think :)
Cheers,
Hannah

Homemade Granola
Verrrryyyyyy versatile recipe!!!!! And the perfect morning, afternoon and night snack :)
Add whatever you want...but here's what i did:
Hannah
Add whatever you want...but here's what i did:
- 3 1/2 cup quick oats
- 1 cup maple brown sugar oatmeal (3 individual packets)
- 1 1/2 cups cereal (cheerios)
- 1 cup dried fruit and nuts combo (added extra in the end for more nuts and more fruit!)
- 6 ounces honey (or half a small 12 ounce container squeezy bottle thing)
- Mix dry ingredients first.
- Add honey and mix until honey makes everything stick slightly together (more so than before at least haha..those oats are pretty flakey). Pretty much you want to cover everything.
- Spread granola mixture onto the biggest baking sheet you have...but make sure the baking sheet has edges! Or you can stick part of the mixture into two separate cake pans. Either way, you want to make sure your mixture is no more than 3/4 inch thick (this is what I've come to realize works best). Oh and don't forget to grease the baking pan or sheet!
- Stick granola in a preheated oven at 375 degrees until golden on the edges and slightly golden in the middle (depending on your oven and how thick of a granola layer you created it can take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes).
- Allow to cool and nom nom nom nom nom...share share....everyone will love it!

July is National Ice Cream Month...see ya pact
It's national ice cream month and last night I broke my no sweets pact....with Ben and Jerry's Half Baked Ice Cream and it was so worth it.
Here's a post I did for UA on July 6th in reference to National Ice Cream Month!
July 6, 2011 National Ice Cream Month
July is National Ice Cream Month, a more-than-appropriate name for the first full month of summer. When you’re hot, you want to be cold, and there’s no better way to cool down in the hot sun than with some ice cream and glass of ice-cold water or milk (because you know that for some reason after you finish your ice cream you will be so incredibly thirsty…it happens every time). Plus, July is perfect for celebrating National Ice Cream Month because it seems like almost everywhere on television, print ads, our memories…summer is coupled with an image of basking in the sun while scrambling to eat a double-scoop ice cream cone before the mountain of ice cream begins to melt down your hand and drip on your bare toes. (Summer flip flop tans? Got em. And for some reason it’s so hard to get rid of it.)
At UA, we took it upon ourselves to ask around the office and find out what everyone’s favorite ice cream is. After asking some of our fellow employees/ice cream fanatics, we realized there are too many good flavors out there to get a general consensus. Here are a handful (by handful I mean list) of some favorites:
■Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey
■Häagen-Dazs Pineapple Coconut
■Dark Chocolate
■Dulce de Leche
■Mint Chocolate Chip
■Cake Batter
■Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
■Cookies and Cream
We then asked “How would you describe the perfect ice cream sundae?” And here’s what some of us said:
■Anything that has brownies mixed in it…
■Classic Vanilla with Sprinkles or Fruit on top
■Banana split with three different kinds of ice cream, hot fudge and a cherry on top
What’s your favorite ice cream flavor? Toppings? Are you the store-bought kind of person or the homemade type? (Me? Homemade strawberry ice cream—extra the strawberry chunks—please!)
Of course, we have to tie this post back into scrubs, so without further ado I leave you with this additional thought: Although lacking in tangible taste, we do have a huge selection of summer scrubs to fit your fashion tastes! Pick your flavor and order today .

pops
No Desserts? That's ok. Thanks to JNay and Will, Ben and I can make freeze pops...out of almost anything.
We made Strawberry Milk pop a couple weeks ago and they were delish! The best part about this contraption is that it only takes 7 minutes for your pops to freeze. Seriously, 7 minutes and you're good to go. What to make next? No shortage of ideas here. Not to mention they got us a book of recipes!

Hannah Zier "photoshoot"
Without the proper funds to hire a real model, I did what I could...hire (pro bono) my sister to use me as a muse for my Hannah Zier product. It was super awkward, but Ivana's a great photographer and she made it easy for me to feel comfortable! I used iMovie for the first time and tried to create a quick snipit of the photos she took. Thanks, Ivana!

Secret Garden
When I was little, The Secret Garden was one of my favorite movies, and for some reason, while we were visiting Cummer Gardens in Jacksonville, FL, I was reminded of the movie. I remember always wanting to have a secret garden of my own, so for the purpose of this post, I made Ben take pictures of me and my imaginary secret garden...
Shhhhh,

Riverdale Inn ~ Bed & Breakfast
Living Social Escapes: The best thing that's ever happened to inboxes getting filled with nonsense emails that I just delete by habit each morning. Last month, I purchased Ben's birthday gift--a weekend stay at a Bed & Breakfast in Jacksonville, Florida--through these Living Social Escapes. Yes, I know it was Ben's birthday, but I have alwayyyyyyyyyys wanted to stay at a Bed & Breakfast, so we both won in this situation! The Bed & Breakfast deal was for the Riverdale Inn which included 2 nights, a bottle of wine or champagne (chose the red wine...which will be featured in a Fiesta Friday post tomorrow...it was delish), breakfast each morning, high tea (classy, yup!) and tickets to Cummer Gardens down the road. The Riverdale Inn is located in the historic part of Jacksonville, so we were in for a nice, relaxing weekend just the two of us! And it was more than nice. It was arguably the best trip we have taken together--both of us agreed :).
Here are some pics from the weekend:
Here are some pics from the weekend:
Our room...
Mini bed
TV side of the room
Downstairs...before we went to historic downtown for some drinks, dinner and cornhole.
High tea!!!!
Went to a Japanese restaurant for dinner one night. This entire meal (edemame, rice, veggies, lo mein, shrimp, chicken, salad and miso soup) was only $13. And I thought Ishi gave good deals!?
So next time you're trying to think of a mini-vacation to take with someone special, I highly suggest a Bed & Breakfast. In particular, the Riverdale Inn if you happen to want to make it down South.

Things I love about the 4th of July...
Let me preface this post with the fact that the 4th of July is MY FAVORITE holiday. Today (Saturday) we are taking the liberty (pun intended) to turn the 4th of July into an entire weekend celebration...I mean, we do have Monday off!
Now, here is why I love the 4th of July (and why everyone else should too):
Red, white and blue,
Hannah
Now, here is why I love the 4th of July (and why everyone else should too):
- Friends. 4th of July is one of those holidays you can celebrate with allll of your friends and family. It's not a friend-only or family-only holiday. It's a holiday for everyone---even strangers.
- Wearing red, white and blue. Duh. It's great. It's like dressing up for college theme parties, but I'm not in college anymore. One can dream.
- BBQ. Burning charcoal, grilled corn on the cob, hotdog buns with ketchup (Frankfest?! Anyone?), pickles.
- Drinks. Themed, of course.
- Decorations. Including firework straws, per my photo below.
- Beach. Backyard!!! Sun, blue skies (I hope), fluffy clouds and tans.
- Get a day off of work.
- Country music. It's Amuuurica.
Red, white and blue,
Hannah
